The Lidcombe Program of Early Stuttering Intervention is a treatment approach developed by clinicians and researchers and can only be provided in a systematic manner, by trained clinicians. It is a behavioral intervention that specifically focuses on children 6 years old and younger. Another feature of this program is the fact that treatment is mainly implemented by the childs' parents in conjunction with weekly clinic visits with our speech-language clinicians. This serves the purpose of continously collecting diagnostic measures , further supporting and training parents as well as analyzing progress.
